About Us

Leather and Lace

Ditter

Meeting Dawn Montgomery changed my life.

There was an instant connection with us from day one. We are polar opposites, yet strangely similar.

I like to think of us as Leather and Lace, so different and yet work so well together. At the time of our meeting, I was blogging and promoting. We bounced ideas off of each other almost daily. It never occurred to us to write together. We were on the phone one night really late, (Extremely late) and Dawn blurted out “Let’s write a book together”. I didn’t hesitate. It was a dream come true for me. I idolized her.

We wrote our first story in less than a week. It was exciting and as easy as breathing. We meshed so well together, the story just flowed like water. We made the decision to merge our strengths and become a team, so here we are. Our next goal in life is to become pirates and rule a small Island in the pacific, with plenty of chocolate and our laptops! As for now, Dawn lives in Texas with her husband, children and Rocky! (Our mascot). I reside in Florida with my son and a guinea pig (Shadow).

Dawn Montgomery

Ditter came into my life like a thunderstorm. It riled me up, got my blood pumping, and washed away all the old bad stuff you tend to hang on to for no reason. She fired up my heart and reminded me why I started writing in the first place. You guys.

I fell in love with reading again, and it’s all thanks to her. It’s hard to remember a time when we weren’t talking! We learned pretty early on to keep a notebook and pen next to us at all times. The ideas would just explode. I think it was the third late night in a row when I suggested we write a book together. My previous experiences writing with someone were…well…different.  So I was a bit worried.

We clicked and balanced out each other’s creativity in the very best ways.

In less than four hours of our “experiment”, we had the first chapter of a book written and edited. A week later our first short story was complete. It’s been crazy ever since. We have no intention of slowing down since we both have decades of stories in our hearts to share with you all.
